Qatar National Museum -An architectural masterpiece



Built in 1901 as the palace of the late ruler of Qatar, this incredible museum surrounding a salt water lagoon displays a vast and diverse collection of relics of traditional Qatari life. The award winning museum boasts varied exhibits including traditional art, architectural artifacts and ornately furnished rooms. Check out the documentary on the making of the Bayt Sha'ar (House of Hair). The Marine Museum is a testament to Qatar's nautical heritage, featuring full-sized dhows and a pearl diving exhibit.
